Legends and myths are transmitted mostly orally in the African tradition. African continent is the home to more than a thousand languages being divided into a great number of ethnic cultures. The myths and beliefs that are being passed on from person to person are as old as time. The spirits and gods that inhabit mountains, trees and flowers, all the natural elements possess

and transmit power. Petrified spirits of the rocks.

These visions were told to me by migrants, people from various countries across African continent, Rwanda, Congo, Senegal, Nigeria, Mali, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Some of them came to Normandy more than 10 years ago, others have settled only a couple of years ago, everybody has different personal stories and hopes, everybody speaks at least two languages and three or four dialects, some of them reject their home culture, others treasure it close to their hearts.
